The trailer for Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assitant has just been released, directed by Paul Weitz, the brother of New Moon director Chris Weitz.

The movie, like other popular Vampire sensations Twilight and True Blood, is based on a series of books by author Darren Shan.

According to the IMDB page, the film centers on a young boy named Darren Shan, who meets a mysterious man at a freak show who turns out to be a Vampire. After a series of events Darren must leave his normal life and go on the road with the Cirque Du Freak and become a Vampire himself.

The film stars John C. Reilly, Jane Krakowski, Salma Hayek, along with newcomer Josh Hutcherson.
